YUMA, ARIZ. — As of October 1, 2020, the Yuma Visitor Information Center (VIC) and Visit Yuma’s administrative office officially moved to Historic Downtown Yuma. Their new combined home will offer residents and visitors a central location to purchase local souvenirs, receive upcoming tour and event information, as well as learn about things to do while in Yuma.

The long-awaited move allows the VIC and Visit Yuma’s administrative staff to work closer together to provide information to visitors and keep residents up to date on local happenings and events. “Now that we are under one roof and conveniently located in downtown, the Visitor Information Center and Visit Yuma are readily available to visitors and residents,” says Linda Morgan, Executive Director of Visit Yuma. “You can easily pop in, purchase a unique, Yuman souvenir, learn about upcoming tours and events, then walk down Main Street for a bite to eat or continue shopping,” continued Morgan. The location is nestled between the Yuma Arts Center and Prison Hill Brewing Company, right in the center of downtown.

The renovated space compliments Main Street’s historic presence. New flooring, fresh paint, and a wooden slat wall accent offers a modern feel while keeping the rustic, industrial look of the exposed ceiling.

To celebrate the move and unification of the VIC and Visit Yuma, a Grand Re-opening will take place Thursday, October 22, 2020. The all-day Open House invites all to come in and see the newly renovated space and to enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages. An official ceremony will take place to formally welcome the VIC and Visit Yuma to Main Street at 4 p.m. Masks and social distancing protocol will be observed.
