YUMA, ARIZ. — Rio de Cerveza, Visit Yuma's annual brew fest, has been cancelled. The event was scheduled to take place on March 28 at the Colorado River State Historic Park in Yuma. In light of concerns about Covid-19, as a precaution and to safeguard public health, the brew fest will not take place at this time. In its seventh year, this is the first year the popular brew fest was to be held in the spring, near the Colorado River, after being a fall event previously. "Our first priority is the safety and wellbeing of our brew fest fans, the brewers who come in from across the region, our scheduled entertainers and vendors, and our staff," said Executive Director Linda Morgan. "We are thankful for the support of the Yuma community, and we hope that by being cautious, that the effects of this unprecedented pandemic virus will be minimal in our area." Tickets that have been purchased will be refunded, beginning on Monday, March 16. Ticket holders should allow up to 10 business days for the refund from Universe to be reflected on their credit card statement. Ticket holders do not need to do anything in order to receive a refund.
