Visit Yuma & YUHSD Photography Collaboration

Desert Spirit

We teamed up with YUHSD Digital Photography Program for an innovative project centered on capturing the essence of Desert Spirit. This collaboration provided students from San Luis, Kofa, and Cibola Highschool the chance to explore, document, and express their communities and the distinctive landscape of Yuma County through their artistic lens. Students honed their technical and creative photography abilities while deepening their connection to their home region. The partnership culminated in an outstanding opportunity to present their work at the Yuma Visitor Information Center, where their images will be showcased and celebrated. This impactful collaboration underscores the talent and creativity of YUHSD students, as well as the importance of community partnerships in fostering meaningful, real-world learning experiences.
