The beneficiary of Rio de Cerveza profits is the Yuma Veterans Fund.
Linda Morgan, executive director of Visit Yuma, presented a check for $5,000 to the Yuma Veterans Fund of Arizona Community Foundation of Yuma (ACFY) after the last Rio de Cerveza. Accepting on behalf of ACFY is Veronica Shorr, ACFY regional director, and Miguel Salcedo, ACFY regional philanthropic coordinator. The check represents proceeds from the Rio de Cerveza Brew Fest that took place in November 2017.
"We are delighted that the success of the last Rio de Cerveza enabled us to assist Yuma veterans," Morgan said. "The Brew Fest drew record attendance from the local community and beyond and we want to thank all of our supporters for helping to make this contribution possible".
