YUMA, Ariz. - Yuma Visitors Bureau has welcomed a new staff member aboard, just in time for the busy tourism season.
Mark Briones, a Yuma native and a graduate of Cibola High School, joined YVB as advertising sales and membership manager at the end of November.
Briones has more than 15 years experience in customer service and sales, and most recently worked in advertising sales at The Yuma Sun. He has two daughters, Micaiah and Meilani.
"As a lifelong Yuman, I'm excited to have a part in promoting our area and its businesses to visitors," Briones said. "I'm excited about this new opportunity to put my professional skills to work on behalf of my community."
"We are delighted to welcome Mark to our team, and we know that he will bring a lot of energy to selling Yuma locally and beyond," said Linda Morgan, YVB executive director. "If you are interested in connecting with Yuma visitors, he'll be out and about in the community with more information in the coming weeks."
Can't wait to find out more? Meet Mark -- and the rest of the YVB team -- at our holiday mixer, 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, at the Visitor Information Center at the Yuma Quartermaster Depot, 201 N. 4th Ave. (RSVP to LeslieF@VisitYuma.com). You can also reach Briones at YVB's administrative office, 180 W. 1st St., 928-376-0100, or email Mark@VisitYuma.com.
The Yuma Visitors Bureau is always happy to assist members of print, digital and broadcast media, either on assignment or pitching an idea with a Yuma angle.
