Visit Yuma hires new Marketing Specialist
Gillian Wilkins joined Visit Yuma as its new Marketing Specialist less than a month ago, and has already made a positive impact on the organization’s ability to promote Yuma as a destination and raise awareness of its rich diversity and history. Members who follow Visit Yuma on social media, will have noticed an overall increase in eye-catching images and engaging, informative content, all creating more buzz about Yuma!
Gillian and her husband Kyle have been living in Yuma for a year and a half, and she gained a lot of valuable Yuma knowledge and experience working at Candlewood Suites prior to her position with Visit Yuma.
Before coming to Yuma, Gillian acquired four years of tourism marketing experience in the Philippines and worked for two years promoting Careem, Uber’s international competitor, in Dubai. Along with her creative flair, Visit Yuma is utilizing Gillian’s digital marketing acumen, which includes a range of platforms along with analytics and implementation strategies.
“We feel very fortunate to have found Gillian.”, VY Executive Director Linda Morgan said. “Her skill set is a terrific fit with our long-term goals, other team members, and our overall mission.”
You can check out some of Gillian’s work by viewing (and liking and sharing) VY posts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
The Yuma Visitors Bureau is always happy to assist members of print, digital and broadcast media, either on assignment or pitching an idea with a Yuma angle.
