YUMA, Ariz. — Visit Yuma announced the closing of the Visitor Information Center and the Visit Yuma Administrative Offices for the foreseeable future, effective Thursday, March 19. The Visitor Information Center, operated by Visit Yuma, is located at the Colorado  River State Historic Park, which is also closed presently.

"We are closing our Administrative Offices to the public. Out of an abundance of caution to keep our staff healthy, we are rotating staff members' work days to maintain social distancing, and we will not be open for the public to visit our offices. Our staff members will be responding to phone calls and emails regularly to keep our organization running," said Executive Director Linda Morgan. "We are thankful for the support of our members, the City of Yuma, and our community.  We hope that by taking these measures for the coming weeks, that we can do our part to slow the transmission of COVID-19."

Visit Yuma's board of directors, management and staff urge everyone to stay connected. "Stay engaged and help support local businesses in this difficult time. If visitors and residents want to learn about all Yuma has to offer at this time, we encourage everyone to visit our website, VisitYuma.com, and to stay updated on our Facebook page," said Morgan.

Visit Yuma provides information about its members through its website, Facebook page, Instagram, and the Visit Yuma App. Get the latest news about restaurants with new take-out options, virtual exercise classes, and wide-open space recreation by going to VisitYuma.com or Visit Yuma's social media channels.
