Visit Yuma hires new marketing manager

Visit Yuma has a new marketing manager, however new to Visit Yuma, Steven Hennig is not new to Yuma.

Visit Yuma has a new marketing manager, however new to Visit Yuma, Steven Hennig is not new to Yuma. Steven will take the marketing manager reins as of December 18, 2017. For the past five years, Steven has served as the Development Coordinator at KAWC, Yuma’s Public Radio station.

“We look forward to having Steve here and contributing to Visit Yuma’s mission. Steve will be tasked with overseeing our marketing efforts and helping to continue the success Visit Yuma has had in promoting Yuma’s unique culture, climate, abundant outdoor recreational opportunities, events, and attractions,” said Linda Morgan, VY executive director.

“I am very excited about this opportunity,” Hennig said. “I love this area and it is a dream come true to be able to work with the people at Visit Yuma to help promote it - I can’t wait to get started!”

Steven has lived in Yuma for more than 25 years, and
with his wife Adele, has raised four children here. In that time, he has worked in both the private and non-profit  sectors, including construction, event coordination, marketing, and the arts. He has formed  numerous partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and non-profits, and has been able to greatly increase awareness of,  not only these organizations, but Yuma as well.

Steven will be a valuable addition and an asset in promoting all that is great about Yuma. Come out to our Holiday Mixer at 5 p.m. on Dec. 13, at the Pint House to welcome Steven to the team. RSVP to Mark Briones atMark@VisitYuma.com.
