In the past ten years "The Yuma Territorial Marathon & Half Marathon" has grown into a preferred destination for serious runners and marathon fans alike. With average temperatures in the 60's and 70's along with a race route that is close to sea level – creates ideal marathon conditions. Robert Burns is widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland and is celebrated worldwide. The Yuma Civic Center as will dine and entertain you with a traditional ‘Burns Supper’.
A customary four course Scottish feast, a ‘Toast to the Lassies’ with ‘the water of life’ Scotch Whiskey, excerpt readings of Burns poetry and special presentation from our very own Yuma United Firefighters Pipes & Drums Ensemble will fill the evening’s festivities.

This tour allows a behind-the-scenes look at the Core's busiest air station, hosted by knowledgeable base personnel. Popular features include the obstacle course and a working dog demonstration, and there’s a narrated stop on the way back at the Armed Forces Park. Tour departs the Yuma Visitor Information Center.

Hop on a bus for this half-day tour led by a local grower and you'll get the first-hand low-down on topics ranging from food safety, current tech trends, labor, and water. This is your big chance to harvest a few things to take with your from a special field planted just for us st the University of Arizona research farm. The tour concludes with a tour of the Arizona Western College Land Lab and a yummy fresh lunch featuring local produce, prepared by the culinary students from AWC.
