Join the Yuma Civic Orchestra as they present music under the full moon at the AWC Amphitheater.
As the name aptly describes, is event is set out in the open field under the bright full moon of Yuma's autumn night. Started in 2001 to introduce light classical music to the people of our community, it has captivated a wide audience, young and old, as pieces are carefully selected to bring a particular theme to life. Come early to enjoy the hot air balloon glow by pilot and orchestra violin player David Adler. So relax, and enjoy the music of 4 groups of musicians from our adorable Twinklers and Junior String Ambassadors to our String Ambassadors and full Civic Orchestra. The Yuma County Library District, in collaboration with the Yuma County Cooperative Extension, is hosting “Where Does Your Money Go?” a 1.5 hour workshop Thursdays, October 24 thru November 14, at the Wellton Library. This workshop will teach basic budgeting skills that will help you organize your daily activities and spending habits to keep money in your pocket! There is no charge to attend.
