Camp Inferno is an adventure immersion program allowing participants to experience a day in the life of elite women in fire and life-safety services.  The goal of the program is to afford the opportunity for “real world” experience where young ladies are encouraged to challenge themselves on numerous physical and mental fire-fighter tasks in a controlled setting.  Your child’s safety is always our number one priority and we will be taking all necessary precautions to ensure a safe and responsible camp day. 

Open to all Girls ages 14 - 18 and currently enrolled in high school.

Fee:  $30 per participant

Registration includes lunch, dinner, snacks and a Camp Inferno tee shirt.

It is a requirement for program attendees to be at Camp on all activity days for the entire duration. 

Participants will be measured for their Turn-Out Gear on Tuesday, February 11. T-Shirts will also be distributed that day.  ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED.  On Friday the teens will be introduced to several members of the Yuma Fire Department.  Pizza will be served and weather permitting the evening will conclude with a campfire. Skill training will begin on Friday and continue all day Saturday.  Girls should be dressed in appropriate athletic clothing and closed toe shoes with socks.  Please review the included list of do’s and don’ts.  Camp Inferno t-shirts will be distributed on Tuesday.  Parents/guardians may drop off their daughter up to 20 minutes prior to the start of each camp day.  Due to safety policy’s, we ask that parents not stay while camp is in session both Friday and Saturday. Parents/guardians will not be included in the line- up of any activities planned and will not be permitted to stay on the grounds of the Public Safety Training Facility.

Camp Inferno is a two-day program providing young ladies with experiences to develop fellowship, respect for others, self-assurance and leadership skills.  These young ladies will experience the life of women working in non-traditional female roles by engaging in "real world" firefighting scenarios and learning new skills.  Live firefighting, repelling and ladder climbing are just a few of the fun activities planned.

Deadline to register: February 6, 5 p.m.

Register before Friday, January 17 and receive a 50% class fee discount.
