The Saturday's at the Museum series, held the first Saturday of the month from April through September at the Colorado River State Historic Park will be a fun and exciting time. Participants will enjoy hands-on learning while creating historic crafts. Space is limited to 20 children per activity. The cost to attend is $4 per child and $6 per adult. Open to children age 10 & up and must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is required and tickets can be purchased at the Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area Office. In observance of Hispanic Heritage Month, the San Luis Library is pleased to announce it's 6th Annual Art Exhibition, "Origins: Mi México Diverso," at the San Luis Library. “Origins: Mi México Diverso” is a collaboration of Arizona Western College, Museo Regional de San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexican Consulate and the San Luis Library.
Local artists interested in displaying artwork must register online at www.yumalibrary.org and all ages are welcome. There is no charge to participate.
The 2017 Origins Art Exhibition was recognized with an Achievement Award from the National Association of Counties (NACo). The awards honor innovative, effective county government programs that strengthen services for residents.
