It’s the weekend for L O V E !   Treat your sweetie to something special.  Take them to one of the Top Things to do in Yuma this weekend!  And hold hands, of course!  

YPG 2020 Celebration 

Yuma Proving Ground will open its doors to the public for YPG 2020 - a one-day event to get to know one of the largest military installations in the world.  The celebration includes displays of military equipment tested at the proving ground, historic exhibits, parachuting, a play area for kids, live entertainment featuring Grand Funk Railroad, food and drinks, evening fireworks, and much more!  The day long event starts at 10:00 a.m. and wraps up at 7:00 p.m.   For more information visit www.ypg2020.com.

Bull of the Desert 

Keg press, tire flip, car pull that’s what going up or down at Bull of the Desert 2020.   Be entertained and amazed by athletes from all over the Southwest as they perform feats of strength and compete for the title at Desert Sun Stadium.  Yuma’s strongest man and strongest woman will be crowned at the end of the competition.  The event is sponsored by the Caballeros de Yuma and the event is an official qualifier for the USS Strongman Competition.  Check it out Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Treat your Valentine 

Take your sweetheart to The Patio at the Hills for a romantic dinner for two. The special menu included a choice of pan-seared scallops, Chicken Marsala or Beef Tenderloin Rockefeller.  Cost is $50 per person. Call 928-344-1125 for reservations. Dinner starts at 4:00 p.m. 

Shred Your Ex

Bring a photo of your ex to Hooters on Valentine’s Day.  Shred it. And you will get rewarded 10 free boneless when you buy 10 wings.  Hooters, located at the Yuma Palms is open until 11:00 p.m. on Friday night.  

Lonely Hearts Club 

Join the Littlewood Fine Arts & Community Co-Op  for an evening of lonely hearts! Paint together, karaoke, games and of course, shinanigans. Admission to the event is free.  The co-op is located in Historic Downtown Yuma. 

LOL 

Funnyman Jay Leno brings his stand up act to Yuma this Sunday.   Leno was the host of NBC's “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” from 1992 to 2009.  The show is for 21 and up at the Pipa Event Center.  Purchase tickets at https://playqcr.com/section/events
