YUMA, ARIZ. — The highly anticipated time of year has come – Visit Yuma’s annual tour and dinner tickets go on sale November 2, 2020 for events beginning in January 2021. With a trimmed down lineup and limited tickets available, the tours and dinners will follow all social distancing and sanitary guidelines to ensure the safety and security of the staff and attendees. From unique dining experiences like Date Night, a dinner in a date palm grove, to Yuma-specific tours at Yuma Proving Ground (YPG), these experiences showcase what the Sunniest City on Earth has to offer.

Visit Yuma hosts a range of unique dining experiences that are true to Yuma’s heritage. History Dinners bring together local, fresh Mexican cuisine and specialty topics about Yuma’s history for a one-of-a-kind evening. Historian Tina Clark and lifelong resident Cathy Reeves share stories, photos, music and more about Yuma.

Exclusively hosted in Yuma, Date Night is a truly unique dining experience set under the stars in a lush date grove. With every course featuring a twist on the oldest cultivated fruit, Medjool dates, this elegant dinner is the perfect “date night” for couples or an evening for gathering family and friends for an unforgettable night.

For those with a love for all thing’s agriculture, Ag to Art Markets and Field to Feast are suited for you. Held on the first Sunday of every month from November to March, Ag to Art Markets feature local vendors from the agriculture and art communities. From fresh, farm-grown produce to local Yuman artist’s creation, these markets are full of unique items that make for perfect souvenirs or gifts.

If you want to experience and learn more about the biggest contributing industry in Yuma, Field to Feast is a half-day tour that puts attendees in the shoes of a local grower. This tour is your chance to harvest fresh produce and learn first-hand about topics ranging from food safety to current tech trends from local growers. Enjoy your pickings as Arizona Western College culinary students prepare a fresh, farm-to-table lunch for attendees.

Visit Yuma’s military tours are the ideal way to spend a day or afternoon learning about YPG. These tours are perfect for visitors or locals that are interested in learning more about the history and modern-day missions through interactive base tours. Both YPG tours, “Behind the Big Guns” and “YPG: At Ease”, plan to resume at the start of 2021. Visit Yuma is hopeful to offer these unique military experiences, and if the tours are a go, ticket sales will begin on December 1, 2020.

We are planning for these tours and dinners, although the future remains uncertain. Should changes need to occur, an announcement will be made in advance of scheduled dates. Due to COVID-19, the military tours at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Yuma and Sunset on the Ranch are set to resume later in 2021/2022. Purchase tickets through VisitYuma.com or stop into the Visitor Information Center at the new downtown location, 264 S. Main Street.
