Unique gifts available thru 2 p.m. Christmas Eve
YUMA, ARIZONA - Everyone is welcome at the Yuma Visitor Bureau's Visitor Information Center - with the exception of Christmas Day.
"We will be closed on Dec. 25 so our staff can enjoy the holiday with their families and friends," said Ben Velasquez, manager of the visitor center. "But we're open until 2 p.m. Christmas Eve for last-minute shopping* and will reopen Dec. 26."
The visitor information center (201 N. 4th Ave.) will observe its regular operating hours - 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week - throughout the rest of the holiday season, including New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. The Yuma Quartermaster Depot State Historic Park will follow the same schedule, closing on Christmas Day only.
Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park also will be closed on Christmas Day, and also will close at 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve if you need prison gift gear. The prison will observe its regular operating hours - 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (cell block closes at 4:30 p.m.) for the rest of the holiday season, including New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
