Uniquely Yuman Tour Tickets on Sale Tuesday
New options available for Visit Yuma's 2018-2019 season
 
YUMA, ARIZ. — Tickets go on sale Tuesday, October 2 at 9 a.m. MST
for Visit Yuma’s 2018 – 2019 specialty tours and dining experiences.  Visitors and locals alike can experience Yuma’s gorgeous vistas, exquisite tastes, and behind-the-scenes insights through these guided tour and dining opportunities.

All tours include a meal, and tickets will be available for purchase, along with more information, at VisitYuma.com by clicking on the “Specialty Tours” button, at the Visitor Information Center, 201 N. 4th Ave., and by phone at 800-293-0071 or 928-783-0071.

New to the lineup of agriculture, military and dining offerings will be “Spirit of the City” guided bicycle tours: Riverfront Bike Tours will primarily focus on East and West Wetlands, history and wildlife, and Downtown Bike Tours will explore points of current and historic interest in and around Yuma’s historic downtown.

Tickets will be available later this fall for the new agriculture tours “Yuma Ag 411 – Inside the Industry.”  This series of five half-day tours will provide in-depth information about the vital components of Yuma’s agriculture industry. Those interested in Yuma Ag 411 are encouraged to check VisitYuma.com and the Visitor Information Center for availability. 

FIELD TO FEAST TOURS

Find out “What’s growing in all those green fields?”, and a whole lot more. Take this half-day tour led by a local grower and you’ll get the first-hand low-down on a range of topics. Harvesting is included in a field at the University of Arizona research farm. The tour includes transportation, produce and a lunch prepared by culinary students from Arizona Western College.

YPG: BEHIND THE BIG GUNS TOURS

Go behind the gates at Yuma Proving Ground to learn about this US Army installation’s history and modern day mission. Transportation and lunch included.

YPG: CAMP LAGUNA TOURS
Yuma Proving Ground’s Camp Laguna was the training ground for tens of thousands of troops during World War II. You can tour actual sites that remain from the sprawling camp. Transportation and lunch included.

OORAH! MCAS TOURS
This tour allows a behind-the-scenes look at some of the air station’s activities. Popular features include a working dog demonstration and obstacle course. Lunch and transportation provided.

Explore the East and West Wetlands, their paths, viewpoints, history and wildlife. Visit the Mormon Battalion Statue and Ocean to Ocean Bridge and hear the history of the Colorado River and Yuma Territorial Prison Cemetery. Bike, helmet, water, fun pack and lunch included.

 Enjoy a tour of the Colorado River State Historic Park, Armed Forces Park, and Pivot Point Interpretative Plaza. Continue with a history tour of Yuma’s Main Street including the Yuma Art Center, the Spirit of Yuma Airplane, and the Sanguinetti House Museum and Gardens. Bike, helmet, water, fun pack and lunch included.

UNIQUE DINING EXPERIENCES - DATE NIGHT DINNERS
Presented in partnership with Imperial Date Gardens, our Date Night Dinners have been named by Fodor’s Travel as one of the world’s most unique dining experiences. This unforgettable feast is served under the stars with live dinner music in a date grove. Executive Chef Alex Trujillo will please your palate with a gourmet menu featuring the “fruit of kings” in every course. Seating is limited so reserve early.
