YUMA, Ariz. - Employees at Yuma's two state parks - the Yuma Territorial Prison and Yuma Quartermaster Depot state historic parks - will be thankful for a day off on Thanksgiving.
Both parks will be closed Thursday for the holiday, and reopen at 9 a.m. on Friday. Nov. 25. The Territorial Prison will observe its regular operating hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the remainder of the holiday weekend, while the Quartermaster Depot will close at 3 p.m. on Friday, and resume its regular 9 a.m.-5 p.m. hours Saturday and Sunday.
The administrative offices for Yuma Visitors Bureau and for the Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area, both located in old City Hall at 180 W. 1st St., will be closed Thursday and Friday in addition to the weekend and will reopen on Monday.
