Rio de Cerveza Brew Fest flows at Desert Sun Stadium Nov. 19
Tickets now on sale for Yuma's annual, outdoor beer festival

Yuma, Ariz. — Now in its fourth year, the Rio de Cerveza Brew Fest is announced to take place on Saturday, Nov. 19, under the lights at Yuma's Desert Sun Stadium.

In 2015, the festival welcomed more than 1,000 attendees to enjoy samples of more than 60 different brews from national and regional brands, including Yuma's own Prison Hill Brewing Company.

"The Rio de Cerveza Brew Fest continues to grow, attracting locals and out-of-towners who appreciate delicious craft beer and Yuma's beautiful fall weather," said Linda Morgan, Executive Director of the Yuma Visitors Bureau. "We are prepared for a larger turnout and anticipate having up to 80 different beers on-site, poured straight from the tap and the bottle."

In addition to the brews, entertainment remains a big part of the event. Hometown band Checker'd Past will take to the stage to perform "the '80s the way you remember it!" Also, last year's popular lawn games make a return, including mega-sized beer pong, giant Jenga-like block towers, and cornhole.

Look for these commemorative coasters at restaurants and bars across Yuma!

This year, attendees can save $10 off each general admission and VIP ticket through Nov. 18, either online at RiodeCerveza.com or at the Yuma Visitor Information Center at 201 N. Fourth Ave.

VIP pre-sale tickets cost $70 ($80 at the gate) and include early entry at 4 p.m., a commemorative T-shirt, 24 4-ounce beer samples, and access to VIP food and lounge area. General admission pre-sale tickets cost $35 ($45 at the gate) and include entry at 5 p.m. and 24 4-ounce beer samples.

Additional ticket options for designated drivers and active duty military personnel are available. More information can be found at RiodeCerveza.com and Marine Corps Community Services Yuma. All ticket holders must present a valid form of government identification at the gate and be age 21 or older to enter.

Following the 2015 Rio de Cerveza Brew Fest, the Yuma Visitors Bureau donated $1,402 of event proceeds to Arizona Community Foundation's Yuma Veterans Fund. Once again, Yuma Visitors Bureau is proud to be partnering with Arizona Community Foundation of Yuma to donate a portion of the 2016 Rio de Cerveza Brew Fest proceeds to the Yuma Veterans Fund, which awards grants to high-performing organizations serving Veterans.

More details regarding the 2016 Rio de Cerveza Brew Fest are to be released in the coming months. For the very latest, visit RiodeCerveza.com and the Yuma Visitors Bureau Facebook page.

Businesses interested in sponsoring this year's event are encouraged to contact Linda Morgan at 928-376-0100.
