Tens of thousands of raw troops underwent rigorous training during World War II at Yuma Proving Ground's Camp Laguna before deploying to combat fronts around the world. The training was tough and everyone lived in tents, with no electricity or air conditioning. On this tour, attendees will visit actual sites that remain today from the sprawling camp.  Tour attendees must be mobile and in good physical condition, as walking over uneven desert terrain is required.  Everyone must wear close-toed shoes, hiking boots are suggested.  Tour departs from the Yuma Visitor Information Center.  Purchase tickets here.

The holidays were always a very special time for The King of Rock n' Roll. For Elvis, the holidays meant a time of sharing with friends, family, and even complete strangers!  No expense was spared when it came to decorating Graceland for Christmas and Elvis took the same approach when it came time to record holiday music. During his lifetime, he released three albums of songs to celebrate the season, which have since been re-packaged and re-configured many different ways.  This heart-warming show In the Yuma Historic Theatre features some of The King's best loved holiday favorites mixed in with a healthy dose of top hits from throughout his career.  Call 928-373-5202 for more information.

A new season of Yuma Territory Live Steamers is starting and the new schedule will include both Saturday and Sunday rides on the 2nd and 4th weekends, October thru May.  Located at East Riverside Park, below the Historic Prison.

Yuma Territory Live Steamers offer rides to the public on a 7-1/2-inch-gauge railroad that is large enough for kids and adults to ride. Our goals are to have fun and to educate children and adults about railroading history and safety. Official railroad signals are used when we are running for the proper start, stop, reverse and going thru road crossings. Yuma is one of the major hubs for trains traveling through, some days having as many as 50 trains both coming and going.

Find the mini-railway located off of Giss Parkway on Prison Hill Road at Riverside Park just below Yuma Territorial Prison.

Live Steamers also offer charter runs for birthday parties, picnics and other events, as well as having a Junior Engineer Program for children to learn more about the proper operation of a train.

Like us on Facebook, or visit website at YumaLiveSteamers.org or call 928-782-1988 for more information.

All aboard!
