The sixth annual Rio de Cerveza Brew Fest will be happening from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 27 at Yuma's Desert Sun Stadium. Hosted by Visit Yuma, the popular event celebrates craft beers from around the region in a fun, party atmosphere that will feature live music by the crowd-pleasing group from Phoenix, Quantum, choice food vendors, and the event’s eagerly anticipated lawn games. Nationally popular radio personalities Big D and Bubba, who are the hosts of the morning show carried locally on KTTI, will be sharing the emcee duties for the event.
Brand new this year will be vintage and custom motorcycles on display. Attendees will be able to inspect the cool rides that are a part of “Yuma’s Motorcycle Show and Shine”.
Visit Yuma is partnering with the Arizona Community Foundation of Yuma to donate a portion of the 2018 Rio de Cerveza Brew Fest proceeds to the Yuma Veterans Fund.

The cult classic screening is back in the Historic Yuma Theatre just in time for Halloween. For over 40 years, Jim Sharman’s science fiction parody has delighted audiences and terrified parents. The musical comedy horror screening will feature a shadow cast of the film (that’s actors acting in front of the screen during the film). Audience members are invited to fully participate and costumes are encouraged. Midnight Madness Virgin Kits (or “prop bags”) with all your prop needs will be available for purchase at the door. A Film Series by the AWC Foundation presents "In Syria" at the Historic Yuma Theatre which tells the story of a woman trapped inside her house in a city under siege, Oum Yazan, mother of three, turned her flat into a safe harbor for her family and neighbors, trying to protect them from the war outside. When bombs threaten to destroy the building, when snipers turn the courtyards into deadly zones, and burglars break in to claim their dreadful bounties, maintaining the thin balance of routine inside the walls becomes a matter of life and death. Sonora Nissan presents the MCAS Yuma 1st Annual Telegraph Pass Challenge. This is the premier event for mountain bikers and runners. Participating in a duathlon style challenge, participants will start cycling, and then make their way up and down Telegraph Pass on foot. The course will include a Blue Mile, which is a portion of the challenge with a moment of silence to honor and remember our fallen heroes of the Military, Police, and Fire department. The bike course will head off the main trail head of telegraph, head west and loop around to merge with the running course on the east side. Runners will run to the top of Telegraph and loop back down the mountain and finish at the starting point. Register here.

Children's Festival of the Arts is a fun, family-friendly festival that is supported by dozens of local organizations and art education supporters. Now in its 26th year, the festival takes over Main Street with nearly 50 arts and crafts booths full of make and take projects for attendees. All activity booths are free for attendees. The festival also features performances by local dance studios and music groups, a special youth art exhibition inside the Yuma Art Center, a kids jumper zone, and several food vendors.
