AZFO is going to the “coast” – Arizona’s “West Coast” along the lower Colorado River. Join fellow birders and ornithologists near the water in Yuma for the 10th Annual AZFO state meeting.
The weekend will start with mini-field expeditions to area birding spots on Friday afternoon. Saturday, you’ll hear interesting presentations from the AZFO Gale Monson Research Grant recipients, as well as others who have studied Arizona’s birdlife. Test your eyes and ears at photo and audio bird ID quizzes and peruse used publication sale.
A highlight of the annual meeting is the Saturday dinner, featuring keynote speaker Dr. Osvel Hinojosa Huerta, Director of the Water and Wetlands Program with Northwestern Mexico's largest conservation organization, Pronatura Noroeste. The weekend finishes with more field expeditions on Sunday. All meeting details here.
