6th Annual Family Fish Fiesta

The City of Yuma Parks and Recreation Department is teaming up with the Arizona Game and Fish Department to host the 6th Annual Family Fish Fiesta from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 28,  at the Yuma West Wetlands Park!

Open to residents of all ages, the Family Fish Fiesta provides a recreational opportunity for residents to try their hand at fishing and catch a fun memory together. Arizona fishing license requirements will be waived during the event. However, those planning on continuing to fish after 10am will need to have a valid Arizona fishing license.

In preparation for the 6th Annual Family Fish Fiesta, the pond at the Yuma West Wetlands will be stocked with 500 pounds of catfish, courtesy of the Arizona Game and Fish Department.

There will be additional activities, such as the Fish Print Booth where participants can create a colorful fish print to take home.

Be sure to stay for the awards given out to those who catch the biggest and smallest fish at the end of the event. Awards will be given out in two categories: one for children 12 and under and one for those 13 and older.
